ABOUT US
WHAT IS KRIPALU YOGA ?
Kripalu Yoga is less about standing on your head and more about standing on your own two feet.

Kripalu Yoga is one of the many styles of Hatha yoga. Yoga works on the muscular-skeletal systems as well as the respiratory, circulatory, diestive, immune and nervous systems. The regular practice of yoga has been shown to produce physical benefits including reduced anxiety, stress and blood pressure levels; and increased relaxation, flexibility, strength, endurance and energy levels.

The practice of Kripalu Yoga can have profound effects on the mind and emotions as well as the physical body. It is designed to lead to an ever-increasing knowledge of our mind and body's needs in order to achieve and maintain good physical, mental and spiritual health.

Kripalu Yoga can be looked on as an investment in one's future. Just as one invests in stocks and establishes a portfolio for the financial future, so the practice of yoga is an investment in the future health and well-being of one's body and mind.

Why Yoga ?

Stress is now considered the foremost contributor to our modern chronic maladies. The medical research by Dean Ornish and colleagues, as well as other well-known physicians, has shown that stress is a major factor in causing heart diseas. Further investigation reports that adherence to stress management is the main determinant for the reversal of heart disease.
